Casablanca

Made it here in reasonable shape considering we had 25.5 hours flying hours. After settling in to our hotel we ventured out to find a money changer. Fortunately this was done with the help of a member of the hotel staff or we still may have been out there. It was also a bit of an adventure finding the recommended restaurant for dinner but well worth it having a pleasant meal and drink (non alcoholic) all for less than €10. Followed this with a great nights sleep. This morning we were up and away before most of the other tourists and got to enjoy a wander around the beautiful Hassan 2 Mosque. We walked through the Medina, an old walled part of the city with mazelike streets. Having been warned about taking care to protect our belongings and what tricks to be aware of we were amazed at being invited into a bakery and being given warm fresh bread to eat - then when offering money to pay it was refused. Then shortly after we got drinks, similar to smoothies (mine kiwifruit) one of our group asked about dates and was given some - this man also refusing payment when it was offered.  We have been finding people are helpful in general.  Today has been a quiet one to allow us time to recover from our flight. We have our meeting at 6pm then out to dinner. Tomorrow we head up in to the mountains. Having a few problems getting photos attached but will keep trying.
