Granada

It was off bright and early to catch our bus to Cordoba where we stored our luggage at the bus station and then caught a local bus in to the town centre.  We then made a mad dash for the major attraction there the Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba. According to the internet we needed to have our tickets by 11.30. Unfortunately this was not the case.  It was Sunday and a church service was about to get under way. Trev and I visited here only 2 years ago so it was not so bad for me but I felt for the others in the group. They missed seeing a really special place. It was not difficult however,  to fill in several hours in Cordoba before we needed to catch another local bus back to the bus station, in time for the one that would take us on to Granada. Upon our arrival there we transferred to yet  another local bus to take us to our accomodation. Unfortunately we got off a stop too early and extra walking was required  - think I am over buses! Granada has however, delivered. As was the case when Trev and I visited previously the highlight was visiting the Alhambra. We did this early leaving the afternoon free to enjoy the rest of the town. Tomorrow we head for the coast and Nerja - by yet another bus.
